I am super nervous about taking a break from Scurvytown this week. I am taking a break to print out all the episodes and edit them individually, and then, hopefully, I will find a way to construct a more cohesive narrative flow. Sort of drinking the Kool-aid of wishes, hopes, dreams, and unicorn blood here, but I think the answer will reveal itself as I work my way through each chapter.
My nervousness is pretty much entirely because I am afraid if I take one week off, I’ll want another off and then another. Well, I suppose if I try something stupid like that, I can nip it in the bud on July 30th. I have that day off work thanks to a floating holiday, so I should have plenty of time next week to construct a decent 11th episode.
